Kelsey Cornedi, Owner of A.corn Bakery

A.corn Bakery was born a long, long time ago, when there was a little girl (me) who used to love baking with her grandma; Arlene Corn…aka “Acorn”. Now when I tell you that my grandma and I used to bake chocolate chip cookies just about every time I visited, and that I also remember visiting every week or so… well, we made a lot of cookies together.  Baking for me began as a special way to connect with other people and the joy of sharing what we’d made.

Though my grandma passed away many years ago, that early love of baking together and sharing delicious things with other people stuck with me as I started baking again in college. Pretty quickly I branched out and started making many kinds of treats (because there’s always something new to try!) and eventually fell in to cake making for family members.

At that time I was working as an Interior Designer and started feeling creatively burnt out at work, so in my free time I began experimenting with new decorating techniques and flexing those creative muscles with cake instead. It turned out I loved it, so when it was time to move on from Interior Design I stepped out into selling custom luxury cakes and baked goods as a home bakery. I am lucky enough to have a wildly supportive family; I could not even begin do this without them and the many wonderful friends and customers who have supported me along the way. I appreciate each and every one of you and am always looking forward to our next order together!
